DJ: Hello Ulf.
Ulf: Hey, how are you doing?
DJ: We're doing fine but how are you doing?

Ulf: Were doing great as well, I mean we finally started a world tour, which we have been really waiting for many many many years, and I think our fans been waiting for it also for many many years. Uh, we never really had time to do a world tour in the 90's, we were too busy doing promotion and new albums and all this that comes with success, so we're very very happy to be on the road finally.

DJ: The fans are expecting a new album of course.

Ulf: We've been in the studio back and forth at the same time as we put together this live act, and we have been writing new songs. We've also been reproducing the old songs, we will do a remix album together with some new songs, and we have created something...completely new sound which you will hear also tonight on the live show. And it's more harder, a little more electro, and we won't be performing any really new songs, but you will hear the songs in completely new versions, and... New songs next year, for sure!

DJ: You had concerts in Russia, also.

Ulf: We had four concerts in Russia, we did Ekaterinburg, we did Ufa, we did St Petersburg, and Moscow, two gigs in Moscow and that was amazing, I mean St Petersburg was 32,000 people, so that was fantastic, that was really a kick!

DJ: Did you believe that you were going to be this big as you are right now?

Ulf: Um... well, of course you can have ambitions and goals and you have to have it, you have to believe in yourself to reach anything, you should reach to the stars if you wanna reach the, you know, treetops. But of course ambitions to be number one in a couple of countries, in that you know, Scandinavia, to be nr one in America was not really... not even, that was beyond our dreams, even if we had a lot of ambitions, we could never EVER have expected that we became so big as it was, and it was amazing, it was.. uh.. The good thing was coming back to that we broke through in Denmark, it was a very good...lesson for us to learn everything in Denmark in such a small...country where they just love you, so we could make all our mistakes in that small country, so we were a little bit better prepared when we came out in the bigger world like, you know, Germany and France and Japan, and then when we broke thru in America, even though we were still a very young band, but at least we learned something from that first.. period.

DJ: What's going to happen tonight on the stage?

Ulf: Well, you will see a fresh Ace of Base. AOB is now a trio, we're not 4 anymore, Malin is not a part of the band anymore, she hasn't been for a long time but we haven't done anything public for a long time either, so it's time to communicate that.

DJ: There have been several rumors.. Is it polite to ask why?

Ulf: Well, it's... yes, she didn't want to be in the band anymore, she has other priorities in life, and already '96 she didn't want to be in the band. So that's... that's eleven years ago, and then we faded her out more and more every year, and I will say the last seven years she hasn't been in the band basically at all, and so now it's very natural to just do the last bit, she's not part of the tour and she will not be part of the new album either.

So.. we are a trio and I think we are definitely stronger than ever, because we have.. now finally had the time, a break, to get a little distance to the success, and also
mature when it comes to music, when it comes to talents in the band, and the relationship between us, and it's been amazing to start to work again. We have, I think, the same spirit now as we had 1990, 1989, when we really just loved music, didn't care about lists or success because we didn't have anything, we only had each other and we had the music. And that's what we have now again, we have different priorities, which I think you can really hear that, it's so honest, it's real. I think it's a really great show, it's a modern show, and you will hear where AOB is hitting towards for 2008.
